The first thing I think of when I see this image is "Wow." It looks like an opening scene of a video game or upcoming alien movie. For some reason this image reminds me of Epsilon Eridani system right off the bat.
Color Scheme: Yellow and blue are 2 completely different colors and set 2 different moods. You beautifully meshed these together to give an awestruck and inspiring effect on the viewer.
Composition: The sideways tilt of the image says a lot. If the image was a flat 90 degrees, its impact would be much weaker. The large planet looms warmly in the light of the sun/star. You successfully added a pleasing amount of moons/planets without choking out the negative space you need.
Realism: As far as this goes, it could almost be a photograph for anyone knows. The Solar output structure is perfect and the lighting compliments the darkness with extreme prejudice. The subtle detail of the feint gassy nebulae in the background allow the eyes to travel beyond the planets and moons and truly realize the massive space that is created here.
Format: The image as a whole is very well put together, but (personally) I prefer widescreen layouts. This layout makes it feel somewhat cramped. Expanding the width would ease this tension.
Overall, fantastic piece and keep up the great work.
Space does not seem so much like a final frontier after all of the ground that has been paved with the art inspired by it. "Aqua Sector" by ifreex, has added yet another great piece into the ever growing library of space artwork on Deviantart. Within this piece are many fundamentals that create a great piece of space art (i.e. great starfield, landscape and various personal touches.)
To begin with the detail on the planet is well-done as well as the landscape nearby. You can see that time was taken when this piece was created. The stars really carry their illumination well without appearing overbearing on the whole or appearing too dim. My only complaint about the whole piece is, as stunning as it appears, the whole thing just seems a little basic. This style has been done over and over, and for the pre-initiated can find it a little derivative. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, but it could use a bit more distinction in it.
As I said earlier, the piece is great and another piece from space artist ifreex, who is constantly displaying great talent in the field.
Very good looking piece. While the perspective is nice, and the lighting accurate, it would be nice to see more of the planet, as there seem to be a lot of details.
